On the hunt for a quick and easy DIY project to make this week? This DIY Paint Stick Star makes the perfect patriotic decoration Memorial Day or the 4th of July!

Not only is this paint stick craft project so easy to make, it’s really inexpensive, too! All you’ll need are a few simple items that you may already have on hand.

This project is so versatile, too. You can use the red, white, and blue stars for 4th of July, and the red, white, and green stars for Christmas! Simply hang the finished stars from some clear fishing wire, place them on your mantel or display them on your shelves. They have a rustic look you’ll love!

So are you ready to make your own DIY Paint Stick Star? Here are the step-by-step instruction for making yours…

What You’ll Need for this Paint Stir Stick Craft:

  • 5 Paint Stir Sticks {per star}
  • Acrylic Paint
  • Foam Brush
  • Hot Glue Gun

What You’ll Do:

  1. Paint both sides of the stir sticks and allow to dry completely. Then apply a 2nd coat, and allow to dry completely.
  2. Lay out Stir Sticks in star formation (See Photo Above)
  3. Glue Stir Sticks together using a hot glue gun, and allow to dry.
  4. Display your stars for some seasonal decor!
