DIY Painted Mason Jars
What You’ll Need for These DIY Painted Mason Jars:
- Mason Jars
- White Chalk Paint
- Foam Brush
- Sand Paper
- Acrylic Sealer {Matte Finish}
- Rubbing Alcohol
- Twine
What You’ll Do:
- Using Rubbing Alcohol, clean your mason jars and allow to dry.
- Pour white chalk paint into a disposable plastic container.
- Using a foam brush, apply a coat of chalk paint over the outside of the mason jar and allow to dry completely.
- Then apply a 2nd coat, and allow to dry completely.
- Once the mason jar has been coated well, place it onto some parchment paper to dry overnight.
- Using sandpaper, start sanding a couple of spots and all of the raised edges around the mason jar to give the appearance of being worn.
- Remove dust and spray the jars with an Acrylic Sealer. (this helps to keep the paint from falling off the jars)
- Set the jars back on the parchment paper until they are fully dry.
- Wrap a length of twine around the rim of the mason jar and tie a bow.
