Ways to Get Over Your Afternoon Slump

A BIG thank you to EBOOST for sponsoring today’s post.

Did you know that the mid-day slump is entirely avoidable? We have all experienced it, right? You know, those last few hours when we still need to work and be productive, but just can’t find the motivation to keep going? Well, with a few simple tips, you can beat that overwhelming fatigue in the afternoon and boost your productivity throughout the afternoon!

If you’re like me, sometimes you just need an extra energy boost to help get you through the day. These 7 easy ways to get over your afternoon slump will help you stay energized and keep you going as the clock keeps turning!

Here are some easy ways to fight that fatigue as soon as it strikes…

Ways to Get Over Your Afternoon Slump

1. Don’t Skip Breakfast

Starting your day with the right kinds of food in the morning can help keep you feeling energized all day long. I like to opt for foods rich in whole grains, protein, fiber, and good fats to help keep me energized throughout the day.

2. Eat a Protein-Filled Lunch

Since the afternoon slump generally hits after lunch, it’s important to carefully choose your menu for this important meal. I always try to include protein packed lunches to help reduce grogginess as the day goes on.

3. Take a Walk on Your Lunch Break

It may seem counter-intuitive, but exercising more will actually give you more energy throughout the day. Try a brisk workout before you go to work in the morning, or take a walk outside at lunchtime. The fresh air will do you a lot of good.

4. Stay Hydrated

Ways to Get Over Your Afternoon Slump

One simple reason you might be feeling that afternoon slump is that you are simply dehydrated. Water is needed for the entire body to function well, including the brain… so be sure to keep sipping on water throughout the day.

5. Have a Snack

If you are feeling drowsy or unable to focus, you also might just be hungry.

I love snacks that I can munch on that are semi-healthy and fun, and granola bars totally fit that bill.  These homemade granola bars are a great way to keep your energy levels up and keep on going as the day goes on!

6. Get Enough Sleep

This may be a no-brainer, but getting enough sleep the night before is vital to staying energized throughout the day. I aim for 7 – 9 hours each night to make sure I’ve got the energy I need for the next day.

7. Have a Natural Energy Drink

A natural energy drink is another great way to quickly combat midday fatigue. My personal favorite is SUPER FUEL from EBOOST. Trust me, this ready-to-drink natural energy and recovery drink is so delicious!

It’s Non-GMO and is made only with natural ingredients, like natural caffeine, only 2g of sugar from natural honey, and 10 vitamins and minerals. How cool is that?

They’re definitely one of my favorite ways to power through the day!

Looking for an easy way to boost your energy while you’re on-the-go? SUPER POWDER portable packets are the perfect addition to your water bottle! Take them along when traveling, camping, hiking, etc.

This convenient packet is an effervescent (bubbly) powder when added to water. It’s very similar in ingredients to SUPER FUEL, except there is zero sugar! You should definitely give these natural energy drinks a try, you’ll be so glad you did!

It’s time for you to use these easy tricks to stay energized and get more done each day!

So, what are some of your favorite ways to get over your afternoon slump?
